ACADEMY NEWS AND CASTING NEWS
WINWICK CHANGE OF VENUE
Please note that as of Saturday 24th October 2009 (Winwick’s week 1) we will be relocating to our previous venue, Winwick Leisure Centre. This is because Total Fitness have decided to significantly inflate the cost of our hire and as you know, The Jacqueline Chadwick Academy go to great lengths not to raise our prices, as such we feel that the only way to avoid such charges being imposed upon the parents of our students, relocation to our old venue is our only option. We thank you for your understanding and we hope that this move will not cause any inconvenience to you.
CASTING NEWS
Finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel! After what has been a terrible year for the performance industry and Casting throughout the U.K, we have had our best week in terms of Casting since November 2008. I am thrilled to announce that a major casting Director called us and asked for details of several of our young performers and is currently assessing various head-shots and C.V’s. In addition, two of our older boys were invited for an audition for a major, nationwide NSPCC campaign. But it doesn’t stop there; I would like to congratulate Ben Fisher for his outstanding series of auditions for a major new movie. He got down to the last two out of thousands of children and although the director chose a slightly older child in the end, both the casting team and the Director took the time to tell us how impressive he was throughout the process and that they will certainly consider both Ben and the young actors of The Jacqueline Chadwick Academy for future castings. We have been casting for a total of 70 roles this week and I was able to suggest over fifty of our students for roles. I hope that next week brings us some exciting news.
END OF YEAR TALENT SHOW
For those of you who are not aware of it yet, The Academy will be staging an end of year Talent Show which will showcase the remarkable talent within our student body and also promises to be a fun and entertaining experience for everyone.
Please fill in this form and return it to your Drama teacher who will then forward the information to the office so that preparations for this exciting event can commence.
